A few years ago, I began focusing on living a happy, healthy lifestyle. I started to research and found that a lot of products I used were toxic for human consumption. So, I vowed to make a switch…For my health and my family!

There are some common toxins that are used in some of our favorite products — for instance, Bath and Body Works. They are known for their hundreds of skin care and home products, scents and more. Bath and Body Works uses two well-known toxins, parabens and triclosan. Continue reading to learn more about these toxins.

Parabens

Bath and Body Works currently uses known proven cancer-causing chemicals in their body products including lip glosses, lotions, body washes, and hand soaps‼️ So, why would such a large and well-known company continue using harmful toxic chemicals and parabens in products that they knowingly sell to consumers⁉️ #Parabens are inexpensive preservatives added to their products to allow them to have a longer shelf life. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, The most commonly used parabens in cosmetics are Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, and Ethylparaben, and they are commonly used in combinations. They are not regulated by the FDA.

Triclosan

Bath & Body Works also uses #triclosan, which is an antimicrobial pesticide. According to the FDA, triclosan is linked to antibiotic resistance, disruption of the endocrine system, and cancer, as well as fertility problems, and childhood diseases. In 2017, the FDA issued new regulation, preventing healthcare and beauty products from using Triclosan without pre-market approval.
